Known locally as the old Kallara theatre, the building carries the memories of cinema-goers and film history. Its story began with P. T. Abraham — Paremyalil Thomas Abraham, affectionately known as Avarachan. Today, that same landmark provides the backdrop for a new generation of meaningful occasions.
1981Peetees Cinema is founded in Kallara by P. T. Abraham (Paremyalil Thomas Abraham, known as Avarachan).
1981–2011Peetees screens memorable blockbusters from Mollywood to Hollywood, including Akashadoothu, Kireedam and Spadikam. The theatre fight scene from Spadikam was filmed here.
2011The venue begins its next chapter as Peetees Auditorium.
